My
Experiences Through Cross Culture Understanding
The
first thing that comes on my mind when I heard about “Culture” is something
unique and interesting to be learned. Different places have different culture
that’s why I think that culture is unique and interesting to be learned. If we
talk about culture there are many thing that we can learn, such as about the
food(traditional food), languages, arts, dress, live styles, etc.
In
our daily lives directly or indirectly we actually learn about culture from
another people around us. Or maybe we go to somewhere to see how the culture of
that place. Now, I’ll share my experiences about cross cultural understanding. The
cross culture around me that I can see and I can feel is from my classmates.
My friends in my class comes from many different town in the Central Java. I learn about their culture by their story, their
live style, and from languages. By hear languages when we are talking is the most
easier to way know where is she/ he comes from.
Last
year, when I visited Wonosobo to see one of my family member. I’m a little bit
have a difficulties in communication. People
from Wonosobo usually speak more quickly and a little bit different with Javanese
language or we call it “ngapak-ngapak”,
at first I can’t really understand with the language but now I can understand. The
famous food from Wonosobo is Mie Ongklok, It’s almost same with Chicken Noodle and
Combro. The weather is so cool, because it located in the plateu.
The
second place is Bandung. Many people call that “Bandung Paris van Java”,yaa..that’s
true Bandung is a nice place, with a nice weather and nice people. There are
many shoping centre, many tourist resort, and many place interesting to visited.
The languages that used by people here is Sundanese. one day, I meet people and
they ask me, where I come from? And I answer “I come from Boyolali mom”, and
She said “ Oalah...wong jowo...kapan pulang jawa?”. That makes me laughh,
I thought “ lho...bukannya Bandung itu ya
masih di pulau jawa ya? Apa sekarang udah pindah ke luar Jawa”. From that
experience I know that people here call another javanese people with “wong jowo”.
Two
years ago,I have an opportunity to visit Sumatra Island. The weather is not
really different with Java. Most people in Sumatra every morning always drink black
coffee the most famous coffee is Lampung coffee. I stay here for a week but, and
I’m not understand about the language. The famous food is empek-empek, kemplang,
and durian Sumatra.
That’s
my short sharing about culture. I hope that it will make us more understand
about another culture. There is no good and bad culture because culture is
something unique and different.
wow... funny story..hehehe.... have a chat with the people who was different tribe is exciting...^^

BalasHapusyaa...I think so...^-^
Hapusthey have different opinion ...

BalasHapusFrom other article said that "Ngapak-ngapak" is the real java language, but sometimes we feel its so funny when we hear "ngapak people" speaking in their language :D
example in our class like Manda, hahahahhahaay
right wahab...we use javanesse language but if we hear aother "dialek" of the language it's sometimes really funny...but that's unique because not everyone can speak with another "dialek"...
